At LimoLimo.ca we get many limousine requests that leave us thinking if a limousine is what you really need to get you around Vancouver and the Lower Mainland area. We decided that we should probably make a list of typical limo requests and summarize them based on our experience renting limousines and providing private sedan and SUV based transportation in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland area. So here we go:
- Time - Make sure you have enough time to enjoy the limousine, it's amenities, or just the ride. If you are going to be rushed, or are in a rush to get where you are going it may be better to call a cab. If you are calling a limousine company in Vancouver because there are no taxis available then be prepared to pay premium prices for the limousine, as you are probably not the only person calling and the limousines have probably already been reserved in advance. Smaller Vancouver limousine companies will take advantage of this and try and charge more for their limo services. The good news is that LimoLimo.ca always keeps the same rates, even during peak times, to help ensure fair and friendly limousine business practices. This is also where subscribing to our
Vancouver Limos Twitter account may help you get a last minute deal.
- Planning - Plan the limo ride as far in advance as possible. This will not only make sure you get the best limousine ride in Vancouver, but it will also help you in getting the best limousine at the best price. If renting a limousine becomes an idea at the last moment give us a call and we will be happy to work with you to make it happen. If you want to take a limousine because there are more then 4 people travelling with you just relax and know the limo will arrive and take you to your destination in style - good things are worth the wait. Keep in mind that a limousine is not a taxi; driving around the streets looking for passengers. It can take time to get the limousine out to you, and it is not financially possible for us to get a limousine out to you for $40, so unless your budget is about $30 per person then what you probably need is a taxi.
- Style - If either you don't care, or no one will see you get out of a taxi, then a cab is probably sufficient to get you to your destination or event. However, if you spent $2000 on clothes, $1000 on tickets, and $300 on dinner, then why cheap out on the final detail - transportation? Take the time to reserve a limo in Vancouver and travel in style and arrive in a Cadillac limousine - No!, not a Lincoln limo, but a Cadillac limousine. The Cadillac limousine is the ultimate limousine in Vancouver and for an additional $200 this final touch will be what ties your evening in quite nicely. It rains quite a bit in Vancouver and on busy nights getting a taxi can be near impossible. Don't get caught out in the rain with $2000 worth of wet clothes and a $1000 headache trying to get home.
If you follow these simple guidelines when looking for transportation in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland making the decision between a limousine and a taxi cab can be quite simple. If you split up the cost of a limousine between all the passengers you will find that for a few extra dollars a renting a limousine in Vancouver is well worth it.
